 | Breakdown of the weekends races |
johnheckman writes "This weekends racing has been at best a bit confusing. I was with AJ and Jens recently and got a better clarification as to the races and what counts to what series.
Race 1 Saturday: Is the first race in the Summit Point Bill Scott Formula Car Series event. It will serve as the FRCCA ARS and FRCCA Bill Scott mini series pole sprint. Therefore you get points towards the Summit Point Bill Scott Series.
Race 2 Saturday: Is the second race in the Summit Point Bill Scott Formula Car Series event. It is an FRCCA ARS points race (#2 for 2008) and the first FRCCA Mini Series points race.
Race 3 Sunday: Is the third race in the Summit Point Bill Scott Formula Car Series event. It is an FRCCA ARS points race (#3 for 2008) and the second of the FRCCA mini series points race.
Now if that is clear let me continue...Our classes are now officially recognized (FT, F1600 & FPA) by the Summit Point Bill Scott Formula Car Series and we will be eligible for the Summit Point series end of year awards. The Summit Point Bill Scott Formula Car Series is using a different points paying platform. I will try and clarify that system for you as I can.
What does all of this mean ... these races all count for something, somewhere, some how. It also it good that our club classes are now recognized by the series hosting the event. Just a special note - You car must go through the FRCCA tech to race. It may be reviewed by someone from the BSFCS but our rules will be the rules for our club classes. In other words our belt and no on-board fire system required rules will stand. If yoou have any issues during the day please come and get me."

The Choice is yours. While F/C could win two championships, F/T, F/1600 & F/PA are Excluded from the BSFCS Championships, however F/T, F/1600, F/PA along with Registered FRCCA F/C drivers will be eligible for the FRCCA sponsored Mini-Series also called the Bill Scott Formula Car Series
